Subprocessors
Every service that processes personal data for our apps, and where. Effective 21 October 2026.
A subprocessor is a company we use to process personal data on behalf of the stores that use our apps. These are all of them, for every Marka Shopify app.

Not subprocessors
These handle data but are not our subprocessors:
- Shopify. The platform your store runs on, and where the data comes from. Shopify processes your store's data under your own agreement with Shopify.
- Services you choose to connect. Etsy, AliExpress, Google Merchant Center (Marka Reviews), a webhook address you enter for scheduled reports (Marka Metrics) and Google Fonts if you choose them (Marka Cart Drawer). They receive data on your instruction and under their own terms.
- YouTube. When a review contains a YouTube link, the shopper's browser loads its thumbnail and player from YouTube.
- Microsoft Entra ID. Signs our own staff in to the operator tools of Marka Bundles & Upsells. It handles our staff's identity, not your store's data.
- GitHub. Holds our source code and runs our build jobs. No store or shopper data goes there.
Changes
We will tell you at least 30 days before we add or replace a subprocessor, in the app or by email to your store's contact address, and update this page. If you object on reasonable data-protection grounds and we cannot resolve it, you may stop using the app concerned, and we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
