Billing, Trials and Refunds

Every Marka Shopify app has a Free plan and paid plans. This page explains how paid plans are charged, how free trials work, and what happens when you change plan, cancel or uninstall. It is part of the Terms and Conditions.

1. Charged by Shopify

Paid plans are charged by Shopify, in US dollars, on your Shopify bill. You approve each plan on Shopify's own approval screen before anything is charged. We never see or store your card or bank details. Shopify adds any tax that applies to your store. Shopify's billing terms apply to the charge itself.

Current prices and what each plan includes are on each app's page and its App Store listing. A new price never applies to you until you approve it in Shopify.

During a free trial you are not charged. If you cancel or uninstall before the trial ends, you pay nothing. When it ends, the plan continues at its price and Shopify charges it until you change or cancel it.

3. Changing plan

• Upgrades take effect as soon as you approve them in Shopify.
• Downgrades:
  • Marka Bundles & Upsells keeps your current plan until the end of the period you have paid for, then moves you to the new one.
  • Marka Cart Drawer moves you at once, and Shopify credits the unused part of the old plan.
  • Marka Reviews applies the change when you approve it.
  • Marka Metrics follows Shopify's managed-pricing rules, shown when you change plan.

Moving to a lower plan does not delete what you built. What the new plan does not include stops working until you upgrade again.

4. Cancelling

You can move to the Free plan or uninstall the app at any time from your Shopify admin. Uninstalling an app ends its subscription, and Shopify stops charging for it. What happens to your data is in Data Requests and Deletion.

5. Refunds

Because each charge is for a period of service, charges are not refundable, including for a partly used period, except:

• where the law requires a refund;
• where you were charged in error, for example twice or at the wrong price;
• where we end your use of an app without cause, when we refund the unused part of the period;
• where Shopify credits the unused part of a plan when you change it, as Marka Cart Drawer does on a downgrade.

Refunds and credits are paid through Shopify. If you think a charge is wrong, email support@houseofmarka.com with your store's address and the charge, and we will put it right.

6. Development and test stores

On Shopify development and test stores, plans are approved as test charges and nothing is billed.
