Terms of Service
Plans, billing, and a plain statement of which subscription-law duties are yours and which are ours.
Terms governing your use of the Marka Subscrify Shopify app. Last updated August 2026.
1. These terms
The app is published by Marka Modern Retail Private Limited, trading as House of Marka, whose registered office is at Basement, Plot No. 39, Sector 27, Gurugram, Haryana 122001, India. By installing the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall it.
2. The service
The app creates and runs recurring subscriptions on your Shopify store — subscription selling plans on your products, discounts on repeat orders, and a customer portal where subscribers pause, skip, swap, reschedule or cancel. Recurring charges are executed through Shopify's subscription billing, against the payment mandate your customer authorises at checkout.
3. Your responsibilities
Subscription law is yours to comply with. You are the seller. Automatic-renewal rules — including the US ROSCA and FTC negative-option requirements, California's Automatic Renewal Law, the EU Consumer Rights Directive and its UK equivalents — impose duties on you, not on us: clear disclosure of price, frequency and duration before purchase; obtaining express informed consent; sending renewal reminders where required; and providing a cancellation route at least as easy as the sign-up. The app gives you the tools to meet these duties. It does not meet them for you, and it is not legal advice. Have your subscription terms reviewed for the markets you sell into.
Everything else. You are responsible for the accuracy of your plan configuration, prices, delivery intervals and tax treatment; for honouring the cancellation and refund policy you publish; and for the goods you ship. You must keep your Shopify account secure, use the app only for your own store, and must not attempt to disrupt the service or access another merchant's data.
4. Billing
The app has a free tier. Paid plans are billed through Shopify's billing system on your Shopify invoice, at the plan price shown in the app at the time you subscribe, following any free trial. Plans are per store. You can change or cancel a plan at any time in Shopify; cancellation stops future charges and does not refund the current period unless required by law. Downgrading does not delete your subscription data — configuration beyond the new plan's limits is paused rather than removed.
5. Availability and support
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Support is available by email at support@houseofmarka.com.
If the app stops running. Your subscription contracts are held in Shopify, not only in this app. If the app is uninstalled, suspended or unavailable, automated processing by the app stops, and you remain responsible for what happens to your subscribers. We will give notice where practicable before any planned interruption.
6. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data or lost subscription revenue, except where that exclusion is not permitted by law.
7. Termination
You may uninstall at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or for unlawful use, with notice where practicable. On termination you remain responsible for notifying your subscribers and for cancelling or migrating their subscriptions.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above will change and continued use after that date means acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Gurugram, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
